What is Texas Museums 360?
Texas Museums 360 is a statewide initiative led by the Witte Museum. Our mission is to bring trusted museum expertise directly into classrooms across Texas through dynamic, TEKS-aligned digital curricula.
What is Expeditions in Science?
Expeditions in Science is our flagship digital science curriculum for grades 4–5. Built by museum educators, it’s fully TEKS- and STAAR-aligned, hands-on, bilingual, and designed to make students think and act like scientists.
What makes Expeditions in Science different from other science curricula?
- Built by museums using real Texas specimens and ecosystems
- Three dimensions of the TEKS are applied within each lesson: the content strand, the science and engineering practices, and the recurring themes and concepts
- Every lesson centers around real-world phenomena and essential questions
- Combines digital, outdoor, and hands-on learning
Who is it for?
Expeditions in Science is designed for Texas public, charter, and private schools—specifically 4th and 5th grade classrooms starting in 2025–26, with expansion to grades K–5 by 2028.
